Mr Joseph J. Salvaggio

Mr. Joseph J. Salvaggio, age 40 of Dimond Avenue, Bristol, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, February 18, 2016. Born in Providence and raised in Bristol, he was a son of Jack J. and Carol A. (Sylvia) Salvaggio of Bristol. He was a resident of Winter Garden, Florida for over 15 years, he was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1993, where he was on the wrestling, football and golf teams and was inducted into the Bristol High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2013. He was a Sergeant for the Orange County Department of Corrections in Orlando, Florida for 14 years. He was active in the Orange County F.O.P., a former member of the LaBella Sicilia Society in Bristol and an avid Golfer. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved daughters, Ella Rose and Ashlyn Ann Salvaggio, his twin brother, James J. Salvaggio, and nephews, Michael and Kyrik Cordeiro. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Monday, February 22, 2016 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
