Mr. Joseph "Drummer Boy" Ormond, Jr., age 73 , of Wendell Avenue, West Bridgewater, MA, formerly of Bristol, died at his home on Saturday, January 3, 2015. Born in Providence, RI and raised in Bristol, he was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Ferri) Ormond. He was a resident of West Bridgewater, MA for the last 16 years, previously residing in Bristol. He was a custom auto body painter, dog trainer for the Massachusetts State Police, and a Drummer for various bands. Joe won many awards for his custom painting, his dog training, also he also was a huge motorcycle enthusiast. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. Joe is survived by his daughters, Joanne M. Ormond-Adamson, Barbara J. Wordell and her husband Sebastian, and Denise Ormond, all of Bristol, eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. He also leaves his companion Jacqueline H. Fresell of West Bridgewater, MA and his long time friend, Doug Botelho. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Ormond, III and a brother, Carl Ormond. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, January 16, 2015 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visitation will be Friday morning only, at 9:00 AM.
