Mr. Joseph S. Martin, Jr., age 89, of Creek Lane, Bristol, formerly of City View Manor, Goldsmith Ave, East Providence, died Saturday at Silver Creek Manor, Bristol surrounded by his loving family. He was born in East Providence, RI a son of the late Joseph S. and Antonina (Paiva) Martin. Mr. Martin served in the US Navy during WWII. Joseph was in management for the former Kaiser Aluminum Wire and Chemical Corp formerly in Bristol and Portsmouth. He also was the Sales Manager for many year for the former Bristol County Dodge formerly in Warren. Joseph is survived by his daughter, Elaine Roderick of Bristol and his son, Joseph K. Martin and his wife Corrine of Bristol, three grandchildren, Jamie Roderick, Jeremy Roderick and Lindsey Martin, four great grandchildren, Marissa, Londyn, Brice and Bailey Roderick. He is also survived by a sister, Irene Cardoza of Bristol and a brother, Raymond Martin of Bristol. In addition to his parents, his was preceded in death by two sisters Evelyn Correa and Dolores St. Ours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
