Mr Joseph Henry Cayer

Mr. Joseph Henry Cayer, age 78 of Fairview Drive, Bristol, RI and formerly of Andover and Lawrence, MA died Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence, RI surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Theresa (Hilbert) Cayer, his wife of 22 years. Born and raised in Lawrence, MA, he was a son of the late Philiberty and Yvonne (Houde) Cayer. Mr. Cayer served in the US Army during peacetime. He was a former resident of Andover, MA for 34 years, moving to Bristol last year. He was a former resident of Methuen, MA. He was a production line worker for the Raytheon Corp in Andover for 15 years retiring in 1995. He had previously worked as a Siding and Roofing Installer for many years. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and fishing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a step-daughter, Kyrsten N. O'Leary of Bristol, two sisters, Rachel Berube of Hopkinton, MA, Lucille Keegan of Methuen, MA, two brothers, Jean Paul Cayer of Ipswich, MA and Donald Cayer of Groveland, MA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Cayer and a sister, Doris A. Bedard. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service Monday, March 26, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, RI.
