Mr Jordan Cruz

Mr. Jordan Cruz, age 92 of 8 West Street, Bristol, died Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Irene (Machado) Cruz his wife of 71 years. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, he was a son of the late Marion and Mary (Cruz) Cruz and a step son of the late Gertrude Cruz. A machine operator he worked for 34 years for the Fulflex Corp retiring in 1982. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church, Bristol and enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He is survived in addition to his wife, by a son, Jordan Cruz, Jr. and his wife Rita Chicos of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and a daughter, Geraldine Silva and her husband, Lenny of Barrington, a son-in-law, John Deitz of Newport, three grandchildren, Karen Wolniewicz, Leslie MacMillan and Christina Fleming, a great granddaughter, Shelby Fleming and a sister, Annie Medeiro of Bristol. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Dolores Deitz and two brothers, Manuel and Angelo Cruz. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, March 9, 2011 from 4:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bristol Rescue Squad, P.O.
