Mr John F. Healy

Mr. John F. Healy, age 74, of 10 Dolly Drive, Bristol, died Monday, August 8, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Barbara (Hoyle)Healy, his wife of 50 years. Born in Brookline, MA and raised in Savin Hill, he was a son of the late Michael B. and Annie (Kerrigan) Healy. He was a principal engineer for the Raytheon Corp in Marlborough, MA for 35 years, retiring in 1995. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Bristol, a member of the US Power Squadron, the Boston Navigators Club and a member of the Swim with a Special Child organization. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Margaret Orlando of Stow, MA, Michael Healy of Duxbury, MA, Ann Perry of Barrington, Gerard Healy of Sarasota, FL and Robert Healy of Plymouth, MA, his mother-in-law, Margaret G. Hoyle of Braintree, MA, ten grandchildren, three sisters, Mary Nackley of Dedham, MA, Margaret Maxfield of Towamencin, PA and Ann Healy of Quincy, MA. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, RI, Friday, August 12, 2011 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be Thursday, August 11 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
