Mr. John Cupolo

Mr. John Cupolo, age 79, of 11 Fesser Avenue, Bristol, died Monday, March 29, 2010 at his home. He was the husband of the late Dorothy P. (Doyle) Cupolo. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, he was a son of the late Antonio and Nevina (Marabello) Cupolo. Mr. Cupolo was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Bristol, Class of 1948 and received in Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University in 1953. He was a mechanic engineer for the Raytheon Corp. in Portsmouth for 40 years, retiring in 1970. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol was a avid NY Yankee Fan, loved watching College Basketball especially Providence College, traveling and spending time with his family. He is survived by a daughter, Nora A. Saccoccio and her husband, Fred of Johnston, a son, David P. Cupolo and his wife, Melissa of North Myrtle Beach, SC, a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Cupolo of Bristol, eight grandchildren; Brianne E. Barnette of North Providence, Kendall M. and Evan J. Saccoccio, both of Johnston, Chelsea Roland of North Myrtle Beach, SC, John and Caitlyn Cupolo of Warwick and Emily and Liam Cupolo of Bristol, two sisters, Sue Dias and Philomena Puniello, both of Bristol. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Anthony J. and Robert A. Cupolo, three sisters, Alice Cadile, Theresa Costa and Rita St.Onge. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Monday, April 5, 2010 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bristol Rescue Squad, P.O.
