Mr. Israel 'Irving' Kloner, age 92, of Brookfarm Drive, Bristol, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Jane Brown Unit of Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Ida (Puya) Kloner, to whom he had been married for 67 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Solomon and Annie Kloner, he was a Bristol resident for many years. Irving served in the Merchant Marines during WW II and Korea, where he was a Chief Engineer for many years, before retiring in 1984. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter-in-law, Christine Kloner of New York City, NY, brother, William Kloner of Brooklyn, NY, two sisters, Jean Flax of Baltimore, MD and Sandy Kloner of Washington, DC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Craig Alan Kloner and a brother, Sydney Kloner. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service, Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 10:30 AM in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
