Mr Gaetano J. Stanzione

Mr. Gaetano J. 'Teedee' Stanzione, age 88 of 41 Duffield Road, Bristol, died Sunday, March 24, 2013 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of the late Elvira (Biddle) Stanzione. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, he was a son of the late Luigi and Angelina (Vellecca) Stanzione. Mr. Stanzione was a wire worker for over 40 years for Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation in the former Bristol and Portsmouth Plants, retiring a number of years ago. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol where he was an usher for the Sunday 7:30 AM Mass for many years. He is survived by a son, Gaetano A. Stanzione of Socorro, NM and a daughter, Donna Medeiros of Bristol, six grandchildren, Anthony Medeiros, Jr., Bruce G., Samantha, Nicholas and Gaetano S. and Angelina Stanzione, three sisters, Caroline Criscuolo, Antonetta S. Ray and Emily Reavis, all of Bristol. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bruce A. Stanzione, a sister, Elizabeth S. Graziosa and six brothers, Sabato, Ralph F., Angelo C., Anthony M., Louis F. and Paul L. Stanzione. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 9:00 AM with Prayers of Final Commendation at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
