Mr Frank J. Formisano

Frank J. Formisano, Sr., 78, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on December 24, 2016. He was the son of the late Raphael and Sadie (Matrone) Formisano. Frank was the beloved husband of Eleanor (Durfee) Formisano; they were married for 21 years. Besides his wife, Frank is survived by his devoted children; Frank J. Formisano, Jr. (Jacolyn) of Fall River, MA, Denise Brigham (Tim) of Bristol, and Joyce Formisano (Michael) of Bristol, as well as 7 grandchildren; Shannon Lopes, Ashley Baldwin, Jen and Nicole Brigham, Jake, Luke and Michelle Formisano, 3 great-grandchildren and 3 siblings; Ralph Formisano, Mary Jean Sylvaria and Rose Marie Carreiro and 3 step-children; Candace Silvia of Fall River, MA, Christine Correira of Somerset, MA and Donna Brosseau of Spring Hill, FL. He was predeceased by his first wife, Concetta “Connie” Bisbano. Frank retired from Raytheon as a shop steward; he was an avid motorcyclist and the president of Converse United Rubber Workers, #220. He will be sorely missed by his loving dog, Bella. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bristol Fire and Rescue Squad, PO Box 775, Bristol, RI 02809.
