Mr. Frank J. Campo, Jr., age 81 of Main Street, Warren, and formerly of Bristol, died peacefully Monday, November 12, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his wife and family. He was the husband of Rita C. (Cordeiro) Campo, his wife of 45 years. Born and raised in Bristol, he was a son of the late Frank J., Sr. and Philomena (Medeiros) Campo. A resident of Warren for 39 years, he was always Patriotic, serving in the RI Air Force National Guard and then the US Air Force for several years in peacetime in the mid 1950s until his honorable discharge in 1963. He worked for many years in the Jewelry Manufacturing Industry, first working at the former R & J Manufacturing in Warren and then Victorias Creations formerly in East Providence, retiring in 2008 as their Safety Director. For many years Frank and his dad owned and operated Campo Cab Co. in Bristol and ran a gas station in Barrington for a number of years. Frank was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bristol, was an avid N.E. Patriots Fan, he was a former member of the Bristol County Lodge of Elks. He loved working around his home, spending time with his family or taking walks with his wife Rita and his beloved dog, Bella and his grand-dog, Brooklyn through Colt State Park. In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children; Judith Campo, Doreen Campo, Frank Keith Campo and his wife, Liz, all of Bristol, Susan Desrosiers of Barrington, Leida Picciano and her husband, Mark of Middletown and Michelle Campo of Warren, twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by a sister, Barbara Margison. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, November 16, 2018 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 PM.
