Mr Edward Stanzione Sr.

Mr. Edward Stanzione, Sr., age 77 of Wheeler Avenue, Bristol, died Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Diane M. (Drinning) Stanzione, his wife of 58 years. Born in Fall River, MA and raised in Bristol and a lifelong resident, he was a son of the late Louis and Sylvena (Pereira) Stanzione. A member of the Teamsters Union, he worked at the NE Petroleum Terminal in Tiverton, RI; former truck driver for Royal Fuel Company in Bristol for over 20 years, retiring in 2001. During his retirement he worked part time for Steves Transmission also in Bristol. He served in the US Army Reserves in Bristol for 20 years. Edward was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and a longtime member of the Cup Defenders Association in Bristol. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Edward Stanzione, Jr. (Cara Balzano), Louis Stanzione and Dawn M. Pemental (John Ceraceno), all of Bristol, three grandchildren, Anthony Pemental, Nicholas Stanzione and Tonya Pemental, a great granddaughter, Giovanna Rose Pemental and a sister, Rose Marie Sabatini of Pawtucket. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Stanzione, Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
