Mr Dominick A. Berretto

Mr. Dominick Berretto, 75 of Bristol, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024. Born to Vincent A., Sr. and Lourdes A. (Garcia) Berretto, Dominick lived in several states, including Ohio, Connecticut, New Jersey, Georgia, Florida and Maryland, before returning to Rhode Island. He was a proud alumnus of the University of Rhode Island, where he graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. During his college years, he was an active member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Dominick was celebrated not only for his academic achievements, but also for his exceptional athletic abilities. He was an All-State Football player and received an honorable mention as an All-American. In his professional career, Dominick excelled as a high-level manager at Home Depot, where his leadership and dedication left a lasting impact. Despite his busy work schedule, Dominick always made time to explore the world. He and his beloved wife traveled to numerous countries creating cherished memories together. Dominick shared a long and loving marriage of 45 years with his late wife, Marianne (Griffin) Berretto, who preceded him in death in March of 2019. He is survived by his siblings, Angie, Bonnie and Vincent Jr., as well as his nieces, Stephanie and Francesca, and nephew Vincent III. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 9:00 AM in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Monday, August 5, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Burial will be private.
