Mr Domenic M. Cortellessa

Mr. Domenic M. Cortellessa of Roma Street, Bristol, died Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Lou Ann (Caromile) Cortellessa, his wife of 28 years. Born and raised in Barrington, he was a son of the late Vincenzo and Justine (Rossi) Cortellessa. Domenic served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked in the maintenance department of the RI Veterans Home in Bristol for over 25 years, retiring in 1992. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, and a member of the Cup Defenders Association both in Bristol. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert M. Cortellessa (Lisa) and two grandchildren; Presley M. and Vincent M. Cortellessa, all of Portage, MI. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Mary Andreozzi, Helen Panzarella, Carmella Lopez, Antonetta Bianchi and Anna Teolis and two brothers, Joseph and James Cortellessa. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Tuesdasy, November 22, 2016 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Monday, November 21, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
