Mr. Bernardo Esposito, age 92 of Mount Hope Avenue, Bristol, died Friday, December 14, 2018 at his home. He was the husband of the late Roselyn (Vaccaro) Esposito, his wife of 58 years, who preceded him in death in November 2008. Born in Bristol and lifelong resident, he was a son of the late Stefano and Anna (Massa) Esposito. Bernardo served in the US Navy during WWII and was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Bristol. He was a maintenance foreman for the Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp. both in their Bristol and Portsmouth Plants for 35 years, retiring in 1985. During his younger days he played semi-pro football in Bristol, he was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, he was a member of the Anthony C. Almeida Post, VFW # 237, the American Legion Post # 6, AmVets Post RI-37 and the Disabled America Veterans Association. He was also a member of the NRA and the Arbor Foundation. He is survived by three children; Steven B. Esposito and Cynthia L. Esposito, both of Bristol and Loren A. Esposito of North Attleboro, MA, three grandchildren; Stefani Rose Esposito, Sydney A. and Ellah J. Hadfield, a great grandson, Enzo Esposito, a sister, Theresa Bisbano (Ennis) of Florida, and a brother-in-law, Thomas Vaccaro (Jean). In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rose DOttavio. Funeral services and burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
