Mr Arthur A. Pellerin

Mr. Arthur A. Pellerin, Sr., age 86 of Reservoir Avenue, Bristol, died Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Newport Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Caroline (Nappi) Pellerin, his wife of 55 years who died in 2007. Born in Norwich, CT, he was a son of the late Cyril Pellerin and Georgianna (LaValle) Pellerin Martineau. Arthur served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a resident of Bristol for most of his life. Arthur was a self-employed Shellfisherman in the Bristol area for over 53 years, retiring in 2004. He previously worked for the former Bristol Manufacturing, US Rubber Co., Converse Rubber Co. and Miner Industries. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. He is survived by two children, Nancy A. Oliver (James) and Arthur A. Pellerin, Jr. (Marilyn) both of Bristol, four grandchildren, Brad Oliver, Kristen King (Michael), Kelly DiGioia (Michael) and Scott Pellerin (Jenna) and nine great grandchildren, a brother, Leo Pellerin of Florida and a sister, Bertha Farrell of Cumberland. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Armand and Raymond Pellerin. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Monday, June 13, 2016 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
