Mr Arcelio Rodrigues

Mr. Arcelio 'Sal' Rodrigues, age 91, of Westonia Lane, Warwick, died Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Avalon Nursing Home, Warwick with his loving wife by his side. He was the husband of Rose (Securo) Rodrigues his wife for 68 years. Born in Portugal a son of the late Julio and Maria (deJesus) Rodrigues. Sal was an Attendant at the RI Veterans Home, Bristol for many years before retiring in 1986 He was a WW II Army Veteran. He also enjoyed fishing and metal detecting. Besides his wife he is survived by a son Steven Rodrigues (Suzanne) of Warwick Two grandchildren Sallie Brooks and Brad Rodrigues and a great granddaughter Ella Rose Brooks. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his step-motherRose (Cortellesa) Rodrigues a brother Anthony Rodrigues and a sister Maria Ventura. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 9:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol . Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.
