Mr Anthony A. Garcia

Mr. Anthony A. 'Sonny' Garcia, Jr., age 86 of Second School Street, Bristol, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI, he was the husband of the late Margaret M. (Rodrigues) Garcia. Born in Providence, RI and a lifelong resident of Bristol. He was the son of the late Anthony A. and Louise (Mello) Garcia. Sonny was a sole cutter for the former Converse Rubber formerly in Bristol. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church and a member of the Holy Ghost and Santo Cristo Committees. Sonny was also a social member of the Hydraulion Engine & Hose Co., No.1. He was an avid bowler and loved to hunt. Survivors include a son, Robert A. Garcia and a daughter, Margaret Jaycox, and a grandson, William C. Jaycox, all of Bristol. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bristol Rescue Squad, P.O.
