Mr. Alfred Joseph Parent, Jr.

Alfred J. Parent, Jr., 82, of Bristol, passed away on March 14, 2018 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Betsey (Sundell) Parent, his wife of 39 years. Born in Warren, RI, he was a son of the late Alfred J. Parent, Sr. and the late Lillian (Johnson) Parent. Alfred was a resident of Bristol for most of his life. He was truck driver for several area companies, until retiring a number of years ago. Alfred was a member of the Bristol County Lodge of Elks and a past Exalted Ruler. Besides his wife, he is survived by four children; Alfred J. Parent, III, Cheryl Ann Parent, Robin Parent and Michael Parent, nine grandchildren; Andrea, Catherine, Bryan, and Zachary Parent, Nicole Johnson, Nathaniel Bussey, Austin, Raven and Anthony Norris, and his sisters; Aldea Stanzione and Jean Cicero. Alfred was preceded in death by his brother, George Parent. Funeral services and burial in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol took place on Monday, March 19, 2018.
