Michael J. Vendituoli

Mr. Michael J. Vendituoli, age 69, of Aaron Avenue, Bristol, died Monday, Oct. 30, at his home. He was the husband of the late Evangeline (Banks) Vendituoli. Born in Fall River, MA and a lifelong resident of Bristol, he was a son of the late D. Thomas and Margaret (Ruggiero) Vendituoli. Mr. Vendituoli worked in the maintenance dept. of Newport Hospital for 16 years, retiring in 2004. He previously worked at Electric Boat in Quonset Point, RI for a number of years. He was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Class of 1955, Bristol and a 1956 graduate of Worcester Academy. He attended Bryant College and served in the US Coast Guard during peacetime. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol and loved boating and spending time on the water. He is survived by twin daughters, Marie Craddock and her husband, David and Michelle DiNapoli and her husband, Anthony, all of Palm Bay, FL., three sisters, Judith Warner and her husband, Jack of Newport, Nancy Cooley and her husband John, of Bellingham, Washington, Margaret Vendituoli-Ferreira of Bristol, a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Vendituoli of Bristol, a longtime companion, Laura Macari of Johnston, Five Grandchildren, Racheal Marie DiNapoli, David L. Craddock, Jessica N. DiNapoli, Anthony and Michael Macari and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Vendituoli and a brother-in-law, Joseph Ferreira. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, Saturday, Nov. 4, at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut St., Bristol. Visiting hours, Friday, 4:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol, RI 02809.
