Mary Viveiros

Mrs. Mary G. (Grimo) Viveiros, age 95 of Siegel Street, Bristol, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Grace Barker Nursing Center, Warren, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Manuel P. "Macky" Viveiros, her husband of 54 years who preceded her in death in January of 2001. Born in Portland, Maine and a Bristol resident for most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Lucia (Cavalieri) Grimo. A graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Class of 1940, she worked for over 30 years for the Converse Rubber Co., formerly in Bristol and the former US Rubber Company, retiring in the early 1970s. A communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, she enjoyed traveling, cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by two children; Paul J. Viveiros (Carol) of Bristol and Donna M. Pirraglia (The Hon. Robert K.) of Cranston, five grandchildren; Michael P. Viveiros (Elizabeth), Somerset, MA, Christopher J. Viveiros (Meghan), Norfolk, VA, Brian M. Viveiros, Bristol, Robert K. Pirraglia, II of Detroit, MI and Alicia M. Pirraglia of New York City, NY, six great grandchildren; Joseph, Julia, Alexis, Benjamin, Cora and Daniel. In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew J. Viveiros, two brothers; Peter and Pasquale L. Grimo and a sister, Angelina Cavallaro. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 9:30 AM with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visitation will be Thursday morning only starting at 8:30 AM.
