Mary E. (Head) Viera, 90, of Bristol, RI, passed away on September 14, 2026, at Silver Creek Manor in Bristol, RI. She was the wife of the late of the late William "Billy" Viera.

Born on September 5, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Mary (Leetch) Head.

She was a long-time resident of Bristol and was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Bristol.

She was employed for many years at the Bradford-Dimond-Norris Bed and Breakfast at the corners of State and Hope Streets prior to her retirement.

Her favorite pastimes included playing bingo, watching television, spending time creating memories with her cherished son, Stephen, eating out at local restaurants, the annual 4th of July celebrations in Bristol and listening to music.

She leaves her son: Stephen M. Viera of Bristol, RI; her sister: Ann McGivney; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends including the members of the Bristol Volunteer Fire Department.

She was the sister of the late Russell Head.

Family and friends are invited to attend a gathering celebrating her life and honoring her memory on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 9:00 am until 10:30 pm at the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, RI. A prayer service will follow at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bristol.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the resident activities fund at Silver Creek Manor, 7 Silver Creek, Bristol, RI 02809.
