Mrs. Mary A. (Biancuzzo) Travers, age 92, of 634 Wood Street, Bristol, died Sunday, October 5, 2008 at Newport Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Manuel J. Travers. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late John and Pasqua (Calderiso) Biancuzzo. Mrs. Travers was a floor lady for the former Priscillas Sportswear in Bristol for many years retiring in 1974. She had previously worked for the former Collins and Aikman Co. formerly in Bristol. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. Mrs. Travers was an avid Red Sox Fan and a general sports enthusiast. She is survived by three children, Richard J. Travers and his wife, Mary Lou, Linda L. Pelland and her husband, Joseph and Joseph E. Travers and his wife, Marie, all of Bristol, six grandchildren, two step-granddaughters, nine great grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Goulart and five brothers, Domenic, Martin, Natale, Michael and Julio Biancuzzo. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Wednesday, 4:00-7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bristol County Lions Club, P.O.
