Mrs. Mary A. (Andrade) Rogers, age 85, of 1014 Hope Street, Benjamin Church Manor, Bristol, died Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at St. Elizabeths Manor,1 Dawn Hill Road, Bristol. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Joaquine B. and Johanna (Alves) Andrade. She worked for the Raytheon Corp. in Portsmouth for 15 years, retiring a number of years ago. She had previously worked for the former Bristol Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Rogers was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Bristol, Class of 1939 and a communicant of St. Elizabeths Church, Bristol. She loved crocheting and knitting. She is survived by five sons, Paul V. and Kenneth A. Grey, Thomas B. Andrade, Sherwood D. and Donald H. Rogers, all of Bristol, two daughters, Cheryl D. Rogers, of Bristol and Nancy E. Cabral, of Warren, a sister, Helen Clarke, of Jamestown, and a brother, Charles Andrade of Rehoboth, MA. Also survived by fourteen grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by six brothers, Joseph, Angelo, Manuel, Eugene, Jack and Alfred Andrade and a sister, Agnes Ryone. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, December 18 at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Father Flanagans Girls and Boys Town, P.O. Box 7000, Boys Town, NE 68010. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sansone Funeral Home, Bristol.
