Mary Theresa Mancieri

Mrs. Mary Theresa (Alves) Mancieri, age 83, of 11 Harker Avenue, Bristol, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of Nicholas S. Mancieri, her husband of 61 years. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Deolinda (DaPonte) Alves. Mrs. Mancieri was an assembler for the Raytheon Corp in Portsmouth for many years retiring a several years ago. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Saverio P. Mancieri of Livermoore, CA, William and NicholasMancieri, both of Bristol, five grandchildren, Nicole Laprocina, Christopher, Derek, Jackson and Ariana Mancieri and a great granddaughter, Gabriela Mancieri. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary T. Laprocina, two brothers, George and William Alves and a sister, Helen Canario. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Tuesday, Sept. 23, 4:00-8:00 PM.
