Mary V. Lawrence

Mrs. Mary V. “Mamie” Lawrence, age 89, of 74 Washington St., Bristol, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Antone “Larry” Lawrence. Born in Bristol, and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Manuel Joseph and Maria (Cavalho) Ventura. She was a textile worker for the former Premier Thread formerly in Bristol for 20 years before retiring in 1978. She previously worked for the former Carrs Fulflex Company and following her retirement she did home daycare. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeths Church, Bristol and loved spending time with her family, cooking and traveling. She is survived by a daughter, Joan Seyez and her husband George, Jr., two sons, Anthony “Larry” Lawrence and Paul Lawrence and his wife Linda Rae, all of Bristol, six grandchildren; George Seyez, III, Marybeth Olsen, Lisa Marshall. Rae-Ann Jodoin, Vanessa and Amy Lawrence, five great grandchildren, David Squillante, Gary Marshall, Jr., Gregory and Bethany Marshall and Alyssa Olsen, a brother, Manuel Ventura of Warwick and a sister, Rose Nunes of Bristol. Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two brothers John and Joseph Ventura and a sister Mary Coite. Funeral Services will be held from the Sansone Funeral Home 192 Wood St., Bristol, Saturday, June 23, 2007, at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting Hours Friday, June 22, 2007 4:00-8:00 PM.
