Mrs. Mary J. (Leetch) Head, age 96 of 17 Catherine St., Bristol, died Friday at the Silver Creek Manor Nursing Home, Bristol. She was the wife of the late Russell J. Head. Born in County Mayo, Ireland, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Honora (Doyle) Leetch. A resident of Bristol for most of her life, she was a Rubber Worker at the former Carr-Fulflex Company, formerly in Bristol for 30 years, retiring in 1975 and had previously worked at Converse Rubber Co. and Bristol Manufacturing Co. Mrs. Head was a communicant of St. Marys Church, Bristol and a member of the Benjamin Church Manor Senior Center. She loved to Knit, Crochet and Bake, especially brownies for the many visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren, which she loved dearly. She is survived by two daughters, Ann McGivney of Brigantine, NJ; Mary E. Vieira and her husband, William of Bristol and a son, Russell T. Head and his wife Irene of Bristol, nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death in addition to her husband and parents by a brother, George Leetch. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 11:00 AM in St. Marys Church, 330 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut St., Bristol. Her family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Marys Church “Restore Her Beauty” Campaign, 330 Wood St., Bristol, RI 02809. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sansone Funeral Home, Bristol.
