Mrs. Mary R. (Tammaro) Biancuzzo, age 96, of 411 North Lane, Bristol, died peacefully, Friday, February 13, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Martin R. Biancuzzo, Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Carlo and Angelina (Maisano) Tammaro. A resident of Bristol for most of her life, moving here from Providence as a young girl of 4. She attended Bristol Schools and graduated from Louis Academy of Hairdressing in New York City. She worked for Antones Beauty Salon and the Outlet Co. Beauty Salon and then managed the Beauty Salon in Shepherds Department Store all in Providence for many years. She then worked as a case worker for RI Department of Employment Security in Providence for several years before retiring in 1968. Mrs. Biancuzzo was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. She is survived by her son, John Paul Biancuzzo and his wife, Eileen of Barrington and their children, Rachael of Boston, MA and Martin and his fianc, Melinda of Baltimore, MD, her son, Martin R. Biancuzzo, Jr. of Spring Hill, FL and his children, Mark and his wife, Amy of Bristol, Matthew in Georgia and Sarah of Bristol and two great granddaughters. In addition to her husband and parents, she was proceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Giovanni and Pasqua (Calderiso) Biancuzzo, five brothers, Anthony, Louis, Paul, Louis and Carl Tammaro and five sisters, Antonette, Louise and Julia Tammaro, Jeanette Panzarella and Josephine Moise. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 10:00 AM with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Friday, February 20, 2009 from 4:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol, RI 02809.
