Martha Normandin

Mrs. Martha (Tyrrell) Normandin, age 60, of 50 Bud Way, Tiverton, formerly of Bristol, died Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of David A. Normandin, her husband of 35 years. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Mayetta (McGarity) Tyrrell. A resident of Tiverton for the past 26 years, previously residing in Bristol and Seekonk, MA. Mrs. Normandin was a Teacher for the Pawtucket School Dept. at the Elizabeth Baldwin Elementary School for 28 years, retiring in 2002. She had received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Elementary Education from the University of RI. She was a communicant of St. Christopherss Church, Tiverton and a member of the A.F.T. Union. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Shawn D. Normandin of Boston and a daughter, Julie L. Normandin of Newport, two sisters, Kathy and Susan Tyrrell, both of Providence and a brother, Terrence Tyrrell of Somerset, MA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Charles Tyrrell. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, June 23 at 10:00 AM in St. Christophers Church, 1660 Main Road, Tiverton, RI. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sansone Funeral Home, Bristol.
