Marilyn T. Serbst

Marilyn T. (Storch) Serbst, 80, of Poppasquash Road, Bristol, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017. She was the wife of the late William Serbst, Jr.; they were married for 55 years. Born in Fall River, MA, and moving to Bristol in 1960, she was the daughter of the late Frederick C. Storch and Anna (Rys) Storch. Marilyn graduated from Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing in 1957 and went on to become the Director of Nursing at Grace Barker Nursing Home. She was a member of The Truesdale Alumni Association. She enjoyed; Counter cross stitching, knitting with her knitting group, Christmas and her Byers Choice Carolers . Marilyn is survived by her loving children; William L. Serbst, Timothy P. Serbst and his wife Pamela, and Peter C. Serbst and his wife Maria, all of Bristol and seven grandchildren; Nicholas, Andrew, Jeremy, Stephen, Jack, Lauren and Emma. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Frederick J. Storch and Carol Ann Phenix. Visiting hours will be on Friday morning only from 9:00-10:00 AM. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Marys Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol, followed by burial in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.
