Mrs. Mariana (Medeiros) Cabral, age 83, of Washington Street, Bristol, died Sunday, March 15, 2009 at the Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA. She was the wife of the late John R. Cabral, to whom she was married for 59 years. Born in Ludlow, MA, she was a daughter of the late Jose and Guilhermina (Costa) Medeiros. A resident of Bristol for most of her life, she was raised for 19 years in Cos Concecao, Azores before moving back to the United States to make her home in Bristol. Mrs. Cabral worked at the former Premier Thread Company in Bristol for over 40 years, retiring in 1989. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeths Church, Bristol. She is survived by a daughter, Marianne C. Annarummo and her husband Kenneth of Rehoboth, MA with whom Mrs. Cabral had been living with, three sons, John P. Cabral and his wife, Sharon of Bristol, Lawrence R. Cabral and his wife, Lenore of Warren and Antonio R. Cabral of Worcester, MA, Seven grandchildren, Eric C. Cabral, Gregory E. and Nicole M. Annarummo, Jana, Jill, Lance and Lowell Cabral, a sister, Rose Perry and a brother, Manuel Medeiros, both of Bristol. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Macolina Brizida and Vengeling Costa and a brother, Joseph Medeiros. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Wednesday, 4:00-7:00PM.
