Maria L. Dossantos

Maria L. (Correia) dosSantos, age 78, of 59 St. Elizabeth St., Bristol, died Friday, January 11, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Elias dosSantos. Born in Madeira, Portugal, she was daughter of the late Jos and Maria (Gouveia) Correia, Jr. She was an assembler for the Taylor Box Company in Warren for 30 years, retiring a number of years ago. A devoted Catholic, she was a communicant of St. Elizabeths Church, Bristol and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality and the Bible Study and Prayer Groups at the church. She is survived by four daughters, Carmina Benevides, Fernanda Joyal, Maria Sylvia all of Bristol and Germena Santiago of Orlando, FL, a son, Joseph Santos of Bristol, four brothers, Antonio, Manuel, Mario and Candido Correia and a sister, Maria Correia, all of Caracas, Venezuela, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She also leaves many friends with whom she loved spending time with. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son Elias C. dosSantos, a daughter, Theresa dosSantos and a grandson, John Michael Sylvia, IV. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, Tuesday at 9:00 AM with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope St., Bristol. Visiting hours Monday, 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol, RI 02809.
