Lucinda A. (Queija) Lagarto, age 94, formerly of Bristol, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at the Wingate Nursing Home, Kingston, MA with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Manuel A. Lagarto. Born in Acoreira Trasomonts, Portugal, she had previously lived in Central Falls before moving to Bristol in 1960. She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Beatrice (Baltazar) Queija. Lucinda, along with her late husband, owned and operated Viola's Liquor Store on Wood Street before retiring in 1988. She previously worked for the S.E. Reins Corporation formerly in Warren. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church, Bristol. She is survived by her three daughters, Luci D. Record of Hanson, MA, Lydia L. Greene of Little Compton, RI and Linda L. Hutnak of KIngston, MA, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Teixeira and Mary Nobrega. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
