Louis Fortin

Mr. Louis Fortin, age 82, of 39 Tilsbury Drive, Bristol, died Sunday, December 21, 2008 at his home surrounded by his loving family, he was the husband of Emily (Nappi) Fortin. Born in Warren, RI he was the son of the late Telesphore and Caroline (Sanchas) Fortin.Louis was a Rubber worker for the former Bristol Manufacturing Co- Miners Ind. for 37 years before retiring in 1988. He was a WW II, US Navy Veteran and a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Besides his wife he will be sadly missed by his son Louis Fortin, Jr. of Bristol and his daughters Betty C. Lema and Jeanne Van Vleck both of Bristol, two grandsons Gerald Dallaire, Jr. and Lance Dallaire and four great grandchildren. In addition tohis parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Albert Fortin. Funeral servicesfrom the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Wednesday at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141State Street, Bristol.Burial with military honors will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.
