Louis Paul Burpos

Mr. Louis Paul Burpos, age 77, of 8 Noyes Avenue, Bristol, RI and 5 Tarinelli Circle, Bridgeport, CT, died Thursday, August 20 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Virginia (Liscomb) Burpos, his wife of 51 years. Born in Goffstown, NH, he was a son of the late Apostolos and Helen (Zarkadas) Burpos. He worked for 25 years in the Electrical Planning Dept. of Sikorsky Aircraft in Strafford, CT retiring in 1997. He previous was a Chef at St. Vincent Medical Center in Bridgeport for a number of years. A member of the Sports Club at Sikorsky Aircraft and was a co-founder of their Pistol Club. He was also a proud member of the N.R.A. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Donnalee Burpos of Beverly Hills, CA, Pamela Jean Onofrio and her husband Billy, of Cocoa Beach, FL and Cheryl Anne Sylvia and her husband, Gerry of Easton, CT, two grandsons, Nicholas and Cole Sylvia, Three sisters, Sophie Daigneault of Manchester, NH, Bessie Drapeau and her husband Bill of Merrimack, NH, Diana Flagler of Oxford, MD and a brother, Dr. John Burpos and his wife Cheryl of Andover, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service, Wednesday, August 26 at 11:00 AM in North Burial Ground, Hope Street (Route 114) Bristol, RI. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, August 25 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bristol Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 775, Bristol, RI 02809.
