Obituary

Lorraine (Martin) Bisbano, 95, of Barrington, RI, passed away on April 23, 2026, surrounded by her children.

Born July 26, 1930, in Bristol, RI, she was the daughter of the late Delphine and Mary Martin. She was the wife of the late Joseph Louis Alves and John D. Bisbano.

She was predeceased by her sister Irene DeFelice, her children: Joseph L. Alves, Jr and Pamela (Bisbano) Benn and and her stepdaughter Betty Jean (Bisbano) Howard.

She is survived by her brother, Delphine Martin and his wife Marjorie of Bristol, RI; her children, Patricia Bisbano of Barrington, RI, John Bisbano and his wife Shelley of Swansea, MA, Jan (Bisbano) Meier and her husband Daniel of Norton, MA, and Christopher Bisbano of Barrington, RI; her daughter-in-law: Linda Alves of Cranston,RI; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members that she loved wholeheartedly.

Lorraine attended Colt Memorial High School. She lived in Bristol, RI, for 90 years until moving to Barrington in 2021. She worked at Desilets Nursing Home for many years until retiring in 2000. She loved making puzzles, playing bingo, going to casinos, playing cards, and spending quality time with her family.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, followed by a graveside service in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol with the funeral procession commencing at the end of visitation.
