Lorraine Anania

Mrs. Lorraine (Burns) Anania, age75, of 3 Stuart St., Warren and formerly of Richmond St., Bristol, died Wednesday, October 25 at her home. She was the wife of the late Angelo Anania. Born in Warren and a Bristol resident for most of her life, she was a daughter of the late George and Beatrice (Dallaire) Burns, Sr. Mrs. Anania was a supervisor for the Speidel Company in East Providence for 19 years, retiring in 1989. She had previously worked for the former Collins and Aikman Co., formerly in Bristol. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol and a graduate of Warren High School, Class of 1949. She loved to crochet, traveling, playing bingo and especially spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She is survived by five sons, Angelo G. “Skip” Anania, of Cranston, Michael Anania, of Smithfield, David Anania, of East Providence, Donald and Richard Anania, both of Bristol, seven grandchildren; Christine Anania, Jacquelyn Mouquin, Michael, Jr., David, Jr., Andrew, Christopher and Nicholas Anania, and a brother, Robert Burns, of Warren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Burns, Jr. and a sister, Doris Andreozzi. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Monday, October 30 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren. Visiting hours Sunday, 2:00 - 6:00 PM.
