Lisa A. Pellegrino McCarthy, 73, a resident of North Kingstown, RI and a native of Bristol, RI, passed away on August 7, 2026, at Rhode Island Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of Raymond M. McCarthy to whom she was wed on October 9, 2020.

Born in Providence, RI on March 10, 1953, she was the loving daughter of the late Michael Pellegrino and the late Elena (Migliori) Pellegrino. Raised and educated in Bristol, RI, she was a 1971 graduate of the former Bristol High School and later attended Roger Williams College.

A creative and artistic woman, she used her skills as a talented floral designer. She had a love for hummingbirds, and many would visit her outside her window daily.

Favorite pastimes included gardening with her husband around their property, and she will be lovingly remembered as a devoted caregiver for her parents prior to their passing.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a brother: Michael Pellegrino and his wife, Lynn Pellegrino, of Fall River, MA and their two children: Gianna and Nicholas Pellegrino; her stepchildren: Scott McCarthy of Mableton, Georgia; Ian McCarthy and his wife, Rebeccah McCarthy, of Taylorsville, North Carolina and their children: Andrew and Aidan McCarthy; Julie McCarthy and her husband, Neil Smith, of Franklin. MA, and their son: Ronan Smith and Kara McCarthy of Coventry, Rhode Island.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and remember Lisa's warmth and charismatic personality on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am followed by a time of sharing and remembrance commencing at 11:00 am at the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, RI.

Burial will be private.

Following the celebration of Lisa's life, an invitation will be extended to join her family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.

The family would like to acknowledge the compassionate care of the doctors, nurses and professionals at Rhode Island Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either The Nature Conservancy or the Audubon Society of Rhode Island.
