Laureen L. Sousa

Mrs. Laureen L. (Medeiros) Sousa, age 48, of Hilltop St., Bristol, died Friday, January 15, 2010 at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Michael Sousa, her husband of 4 years. Born in Fall River, Ma. and raised in Bristol,she was a daughter of the late Joseph F. and Eva A. (Serio) Medeiros. Laureen was the Director of Purchasing for Fernando Originals. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeths Church andloved helping others, cooking and children.In addition to her loving husband, she will be sadly missed by her sisters Karen Borges and her husband Brad of Bristol, Sandra Nicastro and her husband Kenneth of Coventry, her father and mother in-law Manuel and Pearl Sousa of Bristol andseveral nieces and nephews. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, Wednesday at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope St., Bristol Visiting hours Tuesday, 4:00-8:00 PM.
