Kathleen L. Benevides

Mrs. Kathleen L. (Marshall) Benevides, age 76, of 12 Westwood Road, Bristol, died Sunday, Dec. 31, at her home. She was the wife of the late Peter F. Benevides. Born in Providence and a lifelong resident of Bristol, she was a daughter of the late John and Sylvena (Travers) Marshall. Mrs. Benevides along with her late husband was the owner and operator of the Casual Inn Restaurant on Franklin St., Bristol for 30 years, retiring in 1996. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeths Church, Bristol and a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Class of 1948, Bristol. She is survived by a daughter, Debra A. Lopes and a son, Peter John Benevides, both of Bristol, five grandchildren, Jonathan Ferguson, Melissa and Peter Benevides, Carlos and Kathleen Lopes, three brothers, John and Richard Marshall, both of Bristol, and Robert Marshall, of Cape Coral, FL and a sister, Dolores Medeiros, of Bristol. She was preceded in death in addition to her husband and parents by a daughter, Kathleen A. Ferguson. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, Thursday, Jan. 4 at 8 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM in St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Thursday morning at 8 AM.
