Joyce A. Norftill

Mrs. Joyce Ann (Benevides) Norftill, age 75, of Melbourne, Florida, passed on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at home. Joyce always spread joy and happiness, and was the beloved wife of the late Frank William "Bill" Norftill, Jr. who followed her on her journey to heaven on Thursday, April 17, 2024. Born in Providence, and a longtime resident of Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Alipio and Antonetta (Ruggieri) Benevides. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She is survived by her son: Jonathan Waddell; her grandson: Trystan Waddell; her siblings: Adeline Cruz of Bristol and Gail Urso of Palmetto, Florida, John Benevides, Alipio Benevides Jr., and Louis Benevides all of Bristol, and Anthony Benevides of South Dakota. Joyce was preceded in death by a loving son, Matthew Waddell. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol on Wednesday, November 13th at 1 PM where Joyce will join her mother and father.
