Mrs. Josephine S. (Ligeiro) Pirri, age 90, of 160 Franklin Street, Bristol, died Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the Silver Creek Manor Nursing Home, Bristol, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late John P. and Mary (Sequera) Ligeiro. A production line worker for 40 years for the former Carr Fulflex Co. in Bristol, retiring in 1983. She was a communicant of St. Marys Church, a member of the Hope Circle # 70, Daughters of Isabella, the Nocturnal Adoration Society of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and the former Bristol Democratic Womens Town Committee. She is survived by a daughter, Celeste M. Roy and her husband, Frank of Fall River, MA, two grandchildren, Courtney Mendonca and Marc Tavares, and four great grandchildren, Emma Josephine Mendonca, Nicholas Tavares, Zakk Quinn and Angel Munoz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John P. Ligeiro and Manuel Paiva, and three sisters, Emily Miranda, Aurora Perroni and Mary Almeida. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 8:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Marys Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visitation Wednesday morning only at 8:30 AM.
