Jonathan Glover Sanford

Mr. Jonathan G. Sanford, age 66, of 27 Collins Street, Bristol, died Thursday, December 17, 2009 at the Rhode Island Hospital, Providence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fall River, MA and a lifelong Bristol resident, he was a son of the late Leonard P. Sanford Jr., and Genevieve C. (Glover) Sanford. Jonathan worked for the maintenance department at Franklin Court. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he served as their sexton. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era. He will be sadly missed by his children, Jonathan P. Sanford of San Antonio, TX, James L. Sanford and his wife, Katherine, Amy E. Proulx and her husband, Marc, Casey Aaron and Meghan Paul, all of Bristol. Six grandchildren, Madison, Hannah, Sean, Avery, Hadleigh and Quentin Two brothers, Leonard P. Sanford, III. And Richard A. Sanford, both of Bristol. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service, Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church, High St., Bristol. Burial will follow in Juniper Hill Cemetery, Bristol. Visiting hours Monday in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol from 4:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
