Mr. John B. Zufelt, age 72 of 82 Thames St., Bristol, died Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Newport Hospital, Newport. He was the husband of Sadie “Babe” (Vargas) Zufelt. Born in Port Ontario, NY, he wasa son of the late Louis and Frances (Price) Zufelt. Mr. Zufelt was the owner of the former Hurricane Cafe in Bristol. He also retired from the US Coast Guard. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeths Church, Bristol. He was a member of the Eveready Engine & Hose Co # 2 and a former member of the Hydraulion Engine & Hose Co # 1, bothof the Bristol Fire Departmentand also a member of the D.A.V. Besides his loving wife, he leaves a son, Eric Zufelt of Bristol and a daughter Jill Zufelt-McKenna of Bristol, five grandchildren; Ethan and Matthew Zufelt, Taylor, Brynn and Connor McKenna and a sister, Eleanor Trendell of Pulaski, NY. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Thomas Zufelt. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, Wednesday at 8:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Elizabeths Church, 577Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Tuesday, 4:00-8:00 PM. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Bristol Rescue Squad, P.O.
