Mr. John B. Troiano, Jr., 86 of 707 Hope Street, Bristol, died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of the late A. Lee (Fiore) Troiano. Born in Bristol, and a lifelong resident, he was a son of the late John B. and Catherine (Cristiano) Troiano. John was the owner of John The Tailor formerly on Hope St., Bristol for many years. He served in the US Navy, during WWII. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and was a member of the ITAMS, American Legion and VFW all in Bristol, Past Grand Knight of the Bristol Council # 379, Knights of Columbus, he was a Past Faithful Navigator for the 4th degree St. Pius X Assembly. He was a former committee member of Cub Scouts Pack 6 and Boy Scouts Troup 2, both in Bristol. He is survived by a son, John B. Troiano, III of Bristol and a daughter, Kathryn Grimo of Salinda, CO, two granddaughters, Alison and Tracey Grimo, and a brother Marco C. Troiano of Venus, FL. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Henry S. Troiano. Funeral Services will be held from the Sansone Funeral Home 192 Wood St., Bristol Friday at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut St., Bristol. Visiting hours, Thursday, 4:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to RI Veterans Home Chapel Fund, 480 Metacom Avenue, Bristol, RI 02809.
