John S. Ovalles

Mr. John S. Ovalles, age 75, of 12 Primrose Road, Bristol, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Ruth M. (Martin) Ovalles, his wife of 52 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Spiros and Margaret (Cavalieri) Ovalles. Mr. Ovallesgraduated from Bryant University in 1959 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree. Mr. Ovalles was the owner of the Ovalles Insurance Agency in Lincoln for many years before retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Big Brothers of RI, North Providence Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Mental Health of Northern RI, St. Lawrence Council, Knights of Columbus, North Providence and the St. Lawrence C.Y.O. In addition to his wife, he will be sadly missed by his daughters, Linda A. Ovalles and Laurie J. Ovalles of Bristol, Lisa M. Ovalles of Lincoln and Leanne M. Ovalles of Warren. Also survived by his grandchildren, Jalynne, Julian, Jordan, Kaitlin, Emily and Sophia, and a sister Cia Zabbo of Warwick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George Ovalles and a sister, Sylvia Howard. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 2:00 PM. Visiting hours Saturday from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Brothers of RI, 3300 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence, RI 02915.
