Janet C. Andrews

Mrs. Janet C. (McGrath) Andrews, age 72, of 49 Woodlawn Avenue, Bristol, died peacefully, Monday, September 1, 2008 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Frank H. Andrews, Sr., her husband of 55 years. Born in Brookline, MA and a resident of Bristol for most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Thomas McGrath and the late Gertrude (Burke) Boisclair. A homemaker, she was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. She loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed crafts, sewing, knitting and cooking. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Frank H. Andrews, Jr. and his wife Holly, of Brownville Junction, Maine, two daughters, Karen Silva and her husband John, of Bristol, Lynne McDonald and her husband John, of Warren, a sister, Elaine Brothers of Florida, six grandchildren, Jennifer Cechinel, Frank H. Andrews, III, Shelly Silva, Michael McDonald, Peter Silva and Jody Walker, three great grandchildren, Joshua Cadieux, Presley Andrews and Leigha Higgins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael T. Andrews. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, September 5, 2008 at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Thursday, 4:00-7:00 PM.
