Incarnation "Connie" (Estrella) Palumbo, 98, of Bristol passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. She was the devoted wife of Salvatore L. Palumbo for 48 years before his passing in September of 2004.
A lifelong Bristolian, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Catherine (Brum) Estrella.
Connie was a communicant of St. Elizabeths Church in Bristol where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Society for decades. Connie loved to volunteer and help her community, she was awarded the Citizen of the Year through the Bristol County Elks BPOE 1860. She volunteered at the Bristol and the Warren Senior Centers and St. Marys Harbor Light. A patriotic woman, Connie was a Veterans Advocate and did a lot of work through the Rhode Island Veterans Home and the Veterans Family Council.
Connie is survived by her son: Gary M. Palumbo (Rebecca); her grandsons: Bryan Palumbo (Jennifer), Michael Palumbo (Deb), Kyle Daum; her great-grandchildren: Sarah Palumbo, Allison Palumbo, Alexander Palumbo, Jacob Palumbo, Ella Palumbo; her sisters: Alice Kulpa, Elsie Calce, Cate Ebbet; her Son-in-Law: Greg Daum; many nieces and nephews; and a large extended family.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Salvatore; her daughter: Janet Daum; her parents: Antonio and Catherine; and her siblings: Manuel Estrella, John Estrella, Anthony Estrella, Mary Catalano.
A Visiting Hour will be held at Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 9:00 AM- 10:00 AM. Her funeral service will start from Sansone Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest with her husband in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name can be made to Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes, P.O Box 5021, Hagerstown, MD.
