Henry Irving Potter

Henry Irving Potter, Jr., age 82 , of Harrington Ave, Warwick, died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Care Center, Providence after residing at Greenwich Farms at Warwick Senior Living for the past several years. Born in Providence, RI, a son of the late Henry Irving and Alice M. (Anderson) Potter, Henry graduated from URI with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1952. After serving in the US Army during the Korean War with the rank of 1st Lieutenant, he moved to the Washington D.C. area where he worked for the US Government, retiring as Director of Fire Safety Engineering for the Army Corp of Engineering. He survived by his two brothers, Don Potter of Hendersonville, NC and Richard Potter of Bristol as well as several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services and burial are private. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sansone Funeral Home.
