Mrs. Helena B. (St. George) Gladue, age 81 of 234 Hope Street, Bristol, died Thursday, December 13, 2007 at the Silver Creek Manor Nursing Home, 7 Creek Lane, Bristol. She was the wife of the late Earl G. Gladue. Born in Millbury, MA and raised in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Bertha (Bouvier) St. George and step-daughter of the late Marthe (Castonguay) St. George. A resident of Bristol for 60 years, she previously resided in Worcester, MA. Mrs. Gladue was a Postal Clerk for the Portsmouth Post Office for 15 years, retiring in 1982. She was a communicant of St. Marys Church, Bristol and loved cooking, crocheting, making over 150 Afghans for family and friends over the years and an avid reader. She is survived by a son, Earl C. Gladue of Bristol and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death in addition to her husband, parents and step-mother, by three brothers, Arthur and Bernard “Pete” St. George and the Rev. Raymond St. George, O.P., and two sisters, Gail Mullally and Irene McKinstry. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, December 17, 2007 at 10:00 AM in St. Marys Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sansone Funeral Home, Bristol.
